Bishop at 1 year old. 2011

Introducing my newly adopted dog, Bishop! He's a young German-Australian Shepard mix.  I picked him up this past Sunday at Three Rivers Rescue located in Snoqualmie, WA.

Classified as a stray, the original owner threw him and his brother out of a car onto a deserted road. An eye witness driving behind the group, managed to rescue the dogs and brought them to TTR.

Since taking him in, I'm amazed how much of a cuddler he turned out to be. Not that he had much choice ;) He's great to walk on a leash, enjoys the company of other dogs and people. At home however, he can become a bit of a worry wart. I think this simply stems from being plopped into a brand new environment. Since living here, he's quickly adjusting to the hustle and bustle of Seattle city life. He's discovering new sounds and moving objects that surround him such as: cars, buses, cyclists, construction workers...and their jack-hammers to name a few.

I look forward to all our adventures and I hope you meet him soon!

Happy Father's Day

Our Pier. Stamford, CT, 2010

When I was a child, my father and I used to visit Cummings Park and fish off its pier. We caught anything from Blue Fish, Bunker, and I once ensnared a Spider Crab with my line. Sadly, in the late summer of 2006, a tropical storm rushed the coast with 50-mph winds, sending the 320-foot pier off to the neighboring West Beach.

"It was not just used by the people who live down here. It was used by everybody in Stamford," Boylan said. "People fished, the elderly walked there, young couples walked there, kids rode their bikes, people watched the sun set. It was a gateway to the coast. I miss the activity on it." -Maureen Boylan via Angelia Carella: Why Cummings park is pier-less

Happy Father's Day Dad.
Fremont Solstice Parade
Saturday, June 19th

This was my second time attending the Fremont Solstice Parade. Unfortunately, I arrived just a tad bit late and missed out on the famed naked peleton of bike riders.

On second thought... considering the weather was wet containing a slight chill. I can only assume, the conditions must have left many riders dwarfed wildly in the wind.

But jokes and tardiness aside, I still managed to find some excellent spots to post up in the crowds, and caught some fun characters.

I hope you enjoy!

1000 Hits!

Navigator. Brasilia, Brazil, 2010

I want to personally thank everyone who's taken the time to share my passion for photo. I've made it my mission to always try and capture the moments surrounded by emotional content in the "here and now".

The photo above is silly in nature, if you can cherish those kinds of moments, so will your audience.

ONWARD!

Georgio. Seattle, WA, 2011

It was true pleasure metting Georgio after hanging out with my friends in Capitol Hill. The sun was out and nothing was going to put a damper on his day.
